OBSTACLE

In life you get many obstacles you have to face, and sometimes they are hard to.
Im one of those people that would rather stay in bed and cry about everything then put effort into something and fail, but what we need to realize is.. we don't have to fail. We are capable of anything if we put our minds to it.

Im going through the 'recovery' phase in my life and its the worst roller-coaster I have ever been on, although I forget.. a lot.. about the distance between where I was and where I am, its far. Not as far as I would have anticipated, or as far as I want to be.
But just take a breather, and think... your lowest, where were you... now, where are you? Have you achieved anything, have you reached a goal in your recovery.. have you made it to a place that's not your lowest? if so then you're already further than you thought you were, you just need that reassurance that you're doing OK.

When people say / I see the quote 'Its a bad day not a bad life' I get so angry because I have repeated bad days for a long period of time.. but that's the point, just because those ARE bad days and it seems like most of your life has been full of bad days, it doesn't mean you have had a bad life. I bet you can name at least one thing that has been good this week or even in the past two days. We tend to rule out those little good things and fixate on the nasty things. We as a society need to help each other out of that habit. By starting with yourselves you're already a step further then you were before, we as a society are already a step further than we are before.

A obstacle we need to get over together is the one that is mentioned the most- how little mental health is taken seriously, and we are coming together to make a stand for ourselves.. it will work, this is one thing we are all passionate about and have all experienced in, so that will change one day wont it?
now what happens when it does change, will everyone come forward and recover with the help they are offered? or will they hide away as they have been for years? you see, the help IS there, but you may be asking the wrong people. Ask yourself, someone else that is going through something similar, ask a professional in mental health rather than a GP.. look other places. But trust me, the person that will help you most in your journey and recovery IS YOURSELF. Yes you're not a professional, yes you don't have the cure, but you have the control of your own mind and you have the power to change your way.

The biggest obstacle in your life is you. You control your ability to get up and do something, you control your brain and how it functions, you have the choice to beat something or let it beat you, you have the power to stand up and do what you want. You are the obstacle standing in your way of success.

Pick yourself up and make a plan to get higher than you've ever been and stay there, you have the potential you have the opportunity you have worth. There are many charities, online supporters, social media supporters to help you through this and if we all help eachother, maybe.. just maybe.. we will create a better society to live in, and a better generation for our children, our childrens children.. to live in when they grow up to.

How much do you hate our societies attitude?
It'll only get worse unless we start and make a stand towards it, until we've over come the obstacles and made a change.

REMEMBER, IT DOESNT MATTER  HOW SLOW YOU GO, JUST DONT STOP
